Short Poems

A robe of haze is wet at its hem:
Princess Sao of spring pissed as she started

Looks as if about to snatch the blossoms:
a fiddlehead raising its fist under the azaleas

It's so hot it makes him squat:
a shrimp lying in the shallows of a summer stream

He lights a lamp at such an awkward spot!
how come a firefly has an ass that glows?

A gasp, and it was gone!
morning haze hit by a spring storm

I made her wet, and myself
folding umbrellas to bow to each other in the rain

Even the young ones are stooping:
baby shrimp are born to look like their parents

He wonders if he ought to wash his clothes:
having lived with them for a while he now loves the lice

Thinking it sinful, he doesn't dip it:
the shallow well has fish living in it

Getting relaxed, getting tense:
look at the spectators at the archery contest
