Ticking faster and faster, I was a time bomb ready to explode. Like steel forged to withstand, You remained by my side Braving the radius of the blast With a smile so blinding, so bright. Rage and frustration hung overhead; I was a storm cloud swirling into a hurricane. Like a storm chaser unafraid of danger, You stayed close to me Within the eye of the storm You stood unfailing, unwavering. What I feel and what I say never match, I pushed people away when all I want was for them to stay. Like a translator fluent in a language lost with time, You looked at me and understood Never leaving despite being pushed away You made me feel so warm, so safe. Creating chaos and fear, I was a lonely king cursed with destructive hands. Like a fearless fool that knows no bounds, You held on to me With no desire of letting go, Holding on so tightly with zero hesitation, zero regrets. No candle nor light, I was lost within the darkness of my own mind. Like a navigator who mapped the stars, You became my guide Expertly weaving through the maze of despair You walked so sure, so set. Lost and flawed I was unsure of who I am, where to go, and what to do. Like the sun that shines even through the void of space, I turn around and always find you Supporting me through the harshest times, Loving me with all you have, with all you are.
