Conceivably, for better or for worse, Earth bears the only life in the universe. Or life is likely, but intelligence is far too rare in even this immense creation. Or, perhaps, ginormous rocks strike worlds so often, they turn back the clocks. But I think they have simply overlooked us. Quite fortunate, since they’d have quickly cooked us!
