Year
Hinges squeak as I creep out before a turning lock,
A drifting moon obscured by clouds with rim as coral rock,
Icy screeches startle cats who peer with leaf green eyes,
Midnight yobbos gad about right under charcoal skies,
A boisterous laugh in dim-lit alleys taunts this passing stranger,
Creeping out in ghostly towns,
My deadly dance with danger.
