My eyes slowly fluttered open,
I searched shoal and deep,
I knew I had to find her,
So I continued to seek.
I couldn't tell where I was,
Or who I could be.
I stumbled through the bushes,
And into the city.
A fawn feighning fortitude,
Fumbling through her fable,
Unwittingly exiled from
the comfort of her cradle.
Her fastidious façade,
A fallacy far foretold,
"be brave bitty bambi,
be brash, be bold!"
Addled by adversary
with little room left to turn,
At last! - abruptly espied,
The search had ajourned...
My eyes slowly fluttered open,
I had searched far and wide
Until a wonder had awoken...
She had always been inside.
