I stand bathed in moonlight on the deck of the ship soothing breezes ruffling my hair and leaving a salty taste upon my lips. I feel the slight swaying of the tide beneath my feet And I know in this moment my happiness is complete. As I stand on this ship surrounded by peaceful ocean My heart is filled to the brim with torrential emotion. I turn and see the moonlight shining on the face of the one I love while the sound of the waves is as beautiful as a chorus from above. Although we aren’t alone on the ship I feel as if we are I have absolutely no care whether anyone is near or far. I want to memorize each and every line of his breathtaking face And stay forever in his loving embrace. As we drift along beneath these tropical skies I can see the loving sparkle in his deep brown eyes. Trying to absorb every loving sensation I strain to hold on to this moment with desperation. Although the ocean is calm, inside my emotions churn like an angry sea Because deep down I know this precious time will soon escape me. For you see I have lived this blissful night many times before all the while never truly leaving the shore. I stand with my love in this romantic scene Knowing deep down it is all just a dream. Although my love and I have been parted for quite a while Each night we reunite and I am blessed once again with his smile. Many times these days I am lonely and wish to give in to defeat But each night this dream is the harbor into which I can retreat.
