The waves are crashing louder now
In the storm they said would never be
We sit here drifting like a grazing cow
Lost and aimless in the sea
Knowing we have already seen our last shore
We fear the water like never before
Its coming in faster now by the buckets never seen before
Its coming in faster now I've heard of this before
Our time has come
We will soon be free of it all
It is time for us to journey home
No time to even make a call
We fear the watery end
We fear the soiled grave
Perhaps they will find that we did not bend
Perhaps there will not be another wave
Maybe we can still be here to see
After this storm they said would never be
I see the lights but they are not near
My captain tells me to give it more speed
I do as ordered like a good sailor with no fear
Standing here waiting to see if anyone can be freed
I can see it now the hull is rising like a pole
Passing through the horizon of glass
Descending into its watery hole
Down below for no man to harass
I fear no more for there souls are now in peace
I wish they didn't have to go this dreary way
I wish they were able to at least leave a piece
In the heart a loved one, and may it stay
We mark the site for family to comb
And see the place that they call home
We clear debris to see the scene
We clear debris, but no sailor was ever seen
