Seeking to know the meaning of today, I shouldn’t only be chauffeured along its way, In the tranquil of my mind, This meaning I hope to find. My sister called me, She told me about someone who was in a deep sea, Now eased into the night, After a brief tempestuous fight. My mother told me about her struggles, Of how she strived with unseen troubles, She eventually defeated her monsters, She called them dark robbers. I have searched the sacred book, I have sat by its serene brook, In part I still know, In, this understanding, I flow. The meaning of everything is a cloaked light, It’s an unreached height, We only understand what abides in the room, Though sometimes we’re obscured by its gloom.
