I have tried and struggled For everyday I hustled I’ve met people from all walks of life Distinguished between wrongs or rights I’ve been scorched by the sun With sweat in the heat, all day long I’ve been beaten by the rain But had to hide the cold and pain Had to work all season, winter to summer And cried every night in secret corners I have worked harder than anyone dared Finished each task but no one cared All those I did for a better living But less than deserved was nature giving I know within me that I’ve done my best And hope for paradise as I lay to rest.
