Member Poem

A gleaming jewel,
on  first impact,
citric zest for life,
how I enthuse,
about it so now,
such bounty rife,
such as beauty,
ignore at one’s,
very own peril, 
count this other,
pearl sound alike,
as if it were gold,
the eye can watch,
as a world shows,
Its any number of,
of angle twisting,
face stretch tilt,
aligned with morn,
dawn, midday, then
afternoon, evening
and twilight charm,
be clearly spoiled,
indulged indeed,
don’t ever ruin say,
or be neglectful,
absorb city flair,
those towers, piers,
street artist  mould,
magic mural extant,
museum in touch,
no dearth of fine,
things to spend,
time and cash,
on as visitors
will vouch for 
when post break,
reflections seem,
so apt whilst they,
paint a fair picture,
so beguilingly true
