yawn in glacial snow-fringed  den
arctic storm alert

howling  artic  winds
startle doves in ice blitz trees
freezing boughs cold snap!

window  frames rattling
wooden huts ache in raw  climes
close knit folks shudder

winter sun burns ice
storm force gales rampant bone chill 
creatures dare to roam

reindeer sleigh skims sky
children’s starry-eyed rapt gleam
carols swoon dense fog
