Beneath misty curtain,
rainbow trout cavorts,
in froth of steam,
and hazy cloud,
echo swirl gurgle,
school  of swimmers,
types of fish escape,
dodging predators,
meander and maintain,
distance under river,
bass, pike, perch,
they hunger also,
silently a feeder,
has its quiet spot,
but might suspect,
canny fish dodge,
the looping rod,
underwater creatures,
colourful and varied,
to thwart the bait
