Maybe I wasn't enough of a firefly, To illuminate both our worlds. I kept burning; trying But to no avail. Maybe I wasn't enough of an anchor, To keep you at my shore. I kept drowning; trying But to no avail. Maybe I wasn't enough of a moon, To revolve around you always; everyday. I kept moving; trying But to no avail. But maybe if you'd only, Lit up; a bit,  Stood still, a bit Or let me calm your seas, On serene waves, We could've sailed away, Amongst fireflies, all our life.
