Softly she disappears,
A whisper without a trace.
Evanescent she fades away,
A trail of faces in her wake.

Quiet glow on the horizon,
A hollow scream,
Void of crying.
She drifts along a sea of change,
Her body gone,
Her thoughts undying.

A moon shines down so forlorn,
To cast upon her shadow’s form.
Broken but not quite torn,
Dead but not quite born,
A razor’s touch to a lover’s chord.

Dawn upon the waking Earth,
The voices rise and bodies stir.
Unaware they do not know,
In dream she came,
They do not know.
