The petals opened, And so did my eyes. The garden was lush green, and blue was the sky. All I saw around me, was colour and vibrance, and it was all enveloped, with musky fragnance. Everyday few of us departed, to the place not known. Only to spread happiness, and to get some love. That's what my folks said, whenever someone got picked. And I waited for my turn, wishing it to be real quick. And then came the day, I waited for ages. And I was holded by a man, who cut me through my stem. It did not hurt, nor did it pain. I wanted to be at happy place, And just couldn't wait. After few long miles, I saw people with no smile. And I instantly got my purpose, and was ready to spread some goodness. But I was destined, for something different. And was laid on a cold body, which was fully covered. The chills I felt, took my vibrance and delight. I felt weak and numb, and died a little inside. People shed tears, and cried their heart out. The gloom and darkness, covered me throughout. I laughed for the last time, at the lie I always believed. And with a sigh, I thought..... Perhaps the life of a flower, is not always this bleak.
