Like the breaking dawn Is my enchanting Mother Who glows like the new risen sun And drenches my life in love and affection, Who showers enlightening rays Erasing nightmares of the dark. Like the tranquil sky of the breaking dawn, Serene, is my Mother Whose cosy lap's wonders are not unknown That defeat my worrying tensions. She is the map to reach Him, God; The cap that protects me from evils. Like the refreshing breeze of the breaking dawn, Pure, is my Mother. The breeze that becomes my life's breath, And answers my mind when restless. Whose kind pats are encouraging - And those loving gushes, my hair caressing. Like the colours of the breaking dawn, A spectrum is my Mother. Qualities sparkled, emotions blended, All into a beautiful sky painted. Adored in my eyes - a lady's figure; The Universe in a single being balanced. Like the scarlet streakes of a dawning sun, Strong, is my Mother In whom a Durga resides, Beside fooling tears. A warrior at heart, the epitome of obedience and sacrifice; A forever inspiration for me. A vast sea she is, unexplorable and deep, Reflecting shines at the surface, hiding storms in her womb. Yet astonishing it is how well a mother knows another! As Nature, the ultimate progenitor, in its dawn Creates the portrait of my Mother.
