I journeyed out to Gaea’s great embrace, The warmth of her heart mere light years away I grew tired of smog and packed my case, And drove freely between the dusk and day Her frosty gales and her pleasant perfume Falls from fuschia with such vibrant display, But fools the fickle ants with fungal doom, Who lived freely between the dusk and day I watched a mother squirrel defend her child With a love not inhuman, I should say, The beasts of the forest don’t seem so wild, We live freely between the dusk and day Guns rage and blood gushes around our feet, A wolf sinks its teeth into feeble prey, A common desire for enemy meat, We kill freely between the dusk and day We kill, we eat, we laugh, we cry, we play, And we live freely between the dusk and day
