As I entered in the room I saw her poring over her books,
Concentration at highest, she didn’t notice me.
As I walked towards my seat, I passed her,
She looked at me, smiled and went back to her work.
The world had already stopped for me, the moment she looked at me,
I stood there staring at her for seconds that felt like eternity,
Waiting for her to look back at me,
So that I could smile back.
We could have bits of conversations,
Everyday through those smiles.
But she never looked back,
and after she left that day,
she never came back.
That love story ended without a start.
