Of no use is my pain to her nor me
How can I dare profess
I grant you will not utterly forget
Thou, Sorrow, wilt keep and wilt cherish the memory of me
Some friend of mine, may be
No man hath ever passed
How difficult is the thorny way of strife
I ask for Allah's pardon, if I dare
When shall the mocking world withhold its blame
Thy love permits not my complaint to rise
