Thinking of the Past on an Autumn Night at Tz'u-jen Temple

Traveler's homesickness, sad and lonely,
below embroidered Buddhas;
cloudy mountains, dark or pale,
sky now turning cold.
Back from dreams, still I remember
that temple south of West Lake:
evening chanting, morning bell ringing,
now ten years have passed.
