The Thames will take us to London town,
“Of wonderful beauty and great renown.”
The dew goes up and the rain comes down,
To carry us safely to London town.

We'll meet the ships from every sea,
With cocoa and cotton, with sugar and tea,
From fair lands and fertile, wherever they be,
All faring, all wearing, for you and for me.
