see that golden goblet shine
decked with gems so starry bright
crowned with the most sparkling wine
casting forth a ruby light

Emerald leaves its brim encircle
with their brilliant green
and rich grapes of saphire purple
twined with these are seen

near a majestic statue
of purest marble stands
rising like a spirit
from the wilderness of sand's

but heark unto that trumpet swell
which soundeth long and loud
rivalling the music
of the darkest thunder cloud

tis the signal that from hence
we both of us must go
so come my brother dear
let it be even so
