I said to downcast eyes—
Look up; accept surprise
Which waits, all welcomings.
I said to shuttered ears—
Heed how earth music nears
On wonder's wind-swept strings.

Unquesting heart I told
To be made manifold
Through love's resurgent will.
I said to fitful mind—
Put discontents behind;
Be silent and grow still.
