Remember what a night of storm
Roused ancient battle up the braes,
Sons of the cloud and mount, a swarm
We saw descend the zig-zag ways,
Athwart where drenching vapour sailed,
And Scotia bled and Ossian wailed!

What song has now Glenogle's burn,
Callandria? Does he leap his run
To swell the waters of Lochearn,
That silver oval under sun?
And shed you with the Highland rose,
Your shadow on him as he goes?
