The dark and deafening skies are bowed
About my brows again —
But drunk with darkness as with wine
I laugh against the rain.

If I brought sunshine with a song —
And rain clouds with a wish
If forests bore for me their fruit
And seas for me their fish.

There were a fury in my heart
Through all Eternity —
At the base world that could not hold
— A greater thing than I.
