Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed.

Not unto us, not unto us, O Lord,
But unto thy name give gloyre, and honor,
For your big 'goodness seure.
Wherefore diroyent people, by mocquant,
Where is that God will qu'ilz as invocquant,
Where is it time to cestus?

God certainly nostre all parfaict
Reside in cieulx: and from thence he hault deed
Veult everything basically.
But adores a bad gent,
Idols are faictes gold & silver
Work of man's hand.

Mouth they have, let alone not move:
They yeulx, and do nothing sçauroyent veoir,
This is a dead thing:

Odor doulce, not strong:

They have hands, not touching anything pouvants:
They have feet, and not walk sçavent:
Throat, and points will cry.
Telz, & pareilz ceulx are wholes, which are,
Ceulx lesquelz and their appeals are going,
And wholes ceulx who rely on it.

Toy Israel, thy hope arreste
The Lord is your strength & power
Shield & saulvegarde.
House of Aaron, thy hope arreste

Who fear God, hope arrestez Vostre
