Post Tenebras Lux: Apres La Plüie Le Beau Temps

After a Dark and Dismall Night
The Sun arising in his Might
So dissipates Those Clouds of Tears
For His Decease
As Clarefies again our Spheres
With hopes of Peace
After a sad Intestine warr
Restoring His Succeeding Star.

It was no slight Dew or small Raine
Showrd for the Loss of Soveraign
But a whol Cataract to destroy
At once our joy
And sinke our Barkes, til now at last
The Tempest past
We may enjoy again faier weather
When Clouds pack all away together.

Scenes have their Changes, Moon Her wayne
Those vary, she fills up again
So after suffring Darknes, light
Appeers more bright
And now our Charles from's wayne doth rise
He far out-vies
All other Orbs changing this Land
From Egipt to a Canaan.

His Presence, and His Peoples Love
Those Black Nights and These Storms remove
We Hud-winkt had so long lien under
That Calm and Cleer
A work wrought by the God of wonder
All might appeer
At His returne whose faier Aspect may guive
To Each His due t'Himself Prerogative.
