UPON A TURF NEAR THE COTTAGE AT PARK PLACE .

" They were lovely and pleasant in their lives. "
Death itself could not part them.

To Fate the universal debt
Is paid at last by Will and Bet .
At William's paralytic side,
With Christian hope the Matron died.
Hope, that again, with lighter feet,
Their youth renew'd, the pair would meet:
Will took the hint — resign'd his breath —
And smil'd upon the hand of Death.
