In holy moments, when great Nature seems
Hushed and a-listen, earth and air and sky
In all their loveliness aroused from dreams,
Ready for revelations from on high:

We mortals, too, await in wonder then,—
Hearts throbbing like some small, just-captured bird,—
Something divine about-to-be,—ah, when
Or where we know not, but we trust the Word.
