The floors and some quiet rooms
The house bears numerous walls
Every day the flower blooms
I see more and more walls.
We unite in the hall, we share supper
And my dad hums his quote “We always stay together”.
Back to their rooms
Everyone follows this insane rule
I see nothing but walls that overrule
Keeping us apart in different rooms.
Brother’s just an inch away
But the distance seems like miles
Father’s couple steps away
But he seems living in Niles.
Mom shares her sorrow to the bonsai in the courtyard
I want to sooth her pain
She seems like a broken shard
The walls make it impossible to be sane.
Walls, walls,walls…..
There’s so many in my house
A barrier that talls
As they bury our intimacy in the jailhouse.
