There was once a King and a Queen
In a land you never have seen,
Their little Princesses
Wore golden dresses,
And danced in a garden green!

The little Princesses were three,
As fair as fair could be,
Their hair was gold and their eyes were blue,
And they each had a crown and a sceptre too,
And a throne of ivory!

Their pillows were soft 'tis said,
But they never were sent to bed,
They played all night
In the silver light,
And slept in the morning red!

Their slippers had silver soles,
Their milk was in golden bowls,
And butter and sugar and jelly so red
They mixed and stirred and sprinkled and spread,
All over their breakfast rolls!
