Let us drive care away
And laugh while we may
And sing though it be in the valley of Death
And still let us drink
And from wine never shrink
So long my rare lads as our bodies hold Breath

I'd far rather die
In good company
Than live a long life with the solemn and sad
Then let all the world know
That from toppin to toe
I'm a roaring fellow a proper, rare lad
