I will follow thee, my Saviour,
All along my pilgrim way;
Whatsoever thou shalt bid me,
I am ready to obey;
To the bending fields of harvest,
Where the laborers are few,
I will follow to my duty,
Doing what I find to do
I will follow thee, my Saviour,
Only linger at my side;
For through joy, or pain, or sorrow,
In thy love I will abide;
I would honor thy commandments,
I would thy disciple be,
Then, O Saviour, on my journey,
Keep me, help me, strengthen me.
I would follow thee, my Saviour,
Happy in thy love to be,
Ever faithful to my duty, —
Blessed Saviour, strengthen me;
While the harvest sun is beaming,
Ere the shadows fall around,
Toiling early, late and faithful
In thy vineyard I'll be found.
