How brave the peasant who lives beside the lake:
with his bare hands, in the mountains,
he captured two tigers!
The martial arts of Pien Chuang-tzu
seem insignificant now—
how can we get this man to saddle up,
and ride, swift as the wind,
westward with soldiers and drums
to beat the barbarian slaves!
