To honest gamesome Garred, at Court.

E PIG . 271.

Garret , thou hast found out the way to thriue
In leauing warre; and yet in peace dost striue
By honest knauery and foolish wirt,
To make thee for a princes presence fitt;
Thou dost no hurt (whateuer good thou dost)
But when (to make our cloke baggs deere) thou go'st
In motley clokes; yet get then (if thou can)
To do the like the worthiest nobleman.
 And wittiest men (perhaps) in motley cloth
 Will shew themselues as wise as Garret dot.
