For a Guest Book

A house on a hillside set
By the blue and silver river,
No city noise and fret
In the house on a hillside set—
Here you may care forget—
Here is the comfort-giver,
In her house on a hillside set
By the blue and silver river.

A book for the grateful guest
Go give thanks for beauty & pleasure,
To write of fair peace & rest—
In the book for the grateful guest,
And the joys by each held best,
Of friendship, ease and leisure,
A book for the grateful guest
To give thanks for beauty & pleasure.
