God's judgments seldom use to cease, unless
The sins which them procur'd men do confess.
Our cries are Baal's priests', our fasting, vain,
Our pray'rs not heard, nor answer'd us again:
Till perjury, wrong, rebellion, be confest,
Think not on peace, nor to be freed of pest.
