The Girl and Her Companion

The girl and her companion together search for the misty water;
Tonight the moon on the river is clear.
The tip of the rudder moves effortlessly, the boat floats sideways;
On the surface of the waves a light breeze imperceptibly arises.
Rowing the oars and riding the boat, with no fixed destination;
The sound of fishermen's songs is heard here and there.
The river's waves stretch to the sky, soaking the autumn stars;
By mistake the pair enters the water smartweed thicket.
