Echoing Old Man Mu's Poem, "Inscribed on Shen Lang-ch'ien's Little Landscape, Autumn Willows at Stone Cliff"

The mist in the palace willows
holds all the grief of Six Dynasties,
each catkin fearful of autumn at Yeh-ch'eng.
So heartless! In this painting
they meet the time of falling leaves:
overnight, the west wind has swept through
Stonetop Hill.
