Like many feet he moved over a stone bridge
His ears fallen green leaves
To the river's grieving.
His eyes black fruit
Frozen until she finds
the onyx shoes of her will.
Her eyes
The back of tarnished spoons
She stood before a tree
Remembering how it spoke in spring
And she leaned against the wind
Until the wind grew thin.
