That holy night when stars shone bright,
Our hearts beat high with joy;
A baby's birth upon the earth,
Held hope without alloy.

Shepherds in fright made hasty flight,
And sped to the stable bed;
They kneeled to pray where the baby lay
And worshiped the hallowed head.

Three kings so wise beheld the skies,
They saw a moving star;
It guided them to Bethlehem,
From distant lands afar.

O blessed morn a child is born,
In a manger on the hay;
Let angels sing, hosannas ring,
A King has come today.
