Cave of Poverty, The - Part 113

Safety inshrines the Cottage and its King;
Sly Serpents never chuse the Grass that's low,
Sure aiming Expectations always wing
The Sons of Rapine to the goodliest Show.
On o'ergrown Plenty Danger builds his Nest,
Night-wand'ring Knaves ne'er break the Poor Man's Rest.
