Water mountains leap high
And crumble white to the shore.

Waves, waves, wash me to sleep,
Till I am dreaming of deeper than deep—

Here in my bed by the giant sea
Where you are pounding eternally!

Water mountains leap to the moon
And crumble white to the shore.

Waves, waves, pound me to sleep!
Pound me deeper than anything deep!
