Once more the kingfisher
?Admires the gleam
Of his rainbow-reflection
In the gay stream;
The crow, sooty-coated,
With never a pause
Scratches up the sown-mealies
And raspily caws;
The dazzling sunbird,
Wee flower-like fellow,
Sips honey from blossoms
To make his voice mellow;
And the wild green canary,
Without stay or stop,
Drops shining song-bubbles
From the treetop.
