Member Poem

A loosened grip was all I left behind,
To keep the hope of needed love in sight,
To guide my heart at night, when souls go blind,
And turn my darkest hours to softer light.

I hold a vivid picture of your face,
Your eyes aglow, like sunlight on the sea.
I see you once, then wait a thousand days;
Your smile, a sudden breath of joy to me.

I lie in bed and feel the years drift by;
Your voice, now distant, fades into the air.
Though love may dim, it never fully dies—
My heart still aches, though you are never there.

I mend the love you break in me, but then,
You scatter every part of me, again
