If only I started yesterday,

I wouldn’t be a topic of discussion,

If only I made judicious use of yesterday,

I wouldn’t be a subject of mediation.

If only I had taken a quantum leap,

Today wouldn’t have been a matter of concern,

If only I had sown for a bounty reap,

Things would have taken a different turn.

Time hasn’t closed its doors,

The night hasn’t snatched me away,

I haven’t been caught in its claws,

Neither has time impeded my way.

I'll reorder the sequence,

To avoid any ill recurrence.
