Cave of Poverty, The - Part 111

There let the peaceful Dearn, and calm Retreat,
Teach me superfluous Pomp and Wealth to scorn;
Teach me the costly Trifles to forget,
Which vain Patricians think their State adorn;
On gaudy Fortune to look back with Pain;
And the cloud-kissing Palace to disdain.
