To an Andalusian Fan

I wish I were the little man
So deftly painted on your fan,
That when you smile, you'd press its tips
To school the laughter of your lips;
And I the secret kiss might hear
And mock at them who think it queer
That you with pictured rivals try us
And give the fan what you deny us.
