Ode 1.30
Venus of Cuidos, Paphos, Queen, thine isle,
Loved Cyprus, quit, and to the temple fair,
Where Glycera thee invokes with goodly pile
Of frankincense, repair.
And let thy radiant boy, the Graces three
Whose limbs no zones confine, and Nymphs attend;
Let Mercury too, and Youth who owes to thee
Her charm, their presence lend.
Loved Cyprus, quit, and to the temple fair,
Where Glycera thee invokes with goodly pile
Of frankincense, repair.
And let thy radiant boy, the Graces three
Whose limbs no zones confine, and Nymphs attend;
Let Mercury too, and Youth who owes to thee
Her charm, their presence lend.
