Mind and Matter

I have in mind a body
wherever I go
I have a body constantly in mind
a body I know

remember its caprices
warm under absent linen
evenings were concentrated to a state of mind
but all mind was a body then

or if any clothes at all
the one transparent
whisp that ended just below the creases
where the thighs begin.

I have in mind the body underneath
the way the thigh moved up
caress and rub
and the quicker breath

I have a notion where the soul
what is it where the soul can sit
such delicate division
spirit and skin

no matter where
the matter in hand is infinite
words fail at all that tender strength
among the hair
